Talana Hill Chardonnay is fermented and matured in barrels from Troncais and Allier Oak. This is a sophisticated and stylish Chardonnay with a delicious full, rounded style. The Chardonnay spends a total of 8 - 10 months in barrels bought from particular coopers in France, which contributes to the wine’s fine complexity and roundness.

Deep red hues with purple notes. Complex aromatics, Bordeaux-like in their variety. Initially cigar-box, herbs and smoke followed by ripe cherries, cassis and black currants.
This is a complex wine with black stone fruit flavours dominating the core, enveloped by terrior-driven flint and earth aromas. The tannin is that of a French wine, it has mid palate texture and super length and will age well for the next decade.

A single vineyard wine, from bush vines and the same site as the Talana Hill Royale. This wine has always been a slow starter, taking about 2 years to come into its own and present its full spectrum of flavours.
